We have reached a moment of inescapable truth. With months of being inside because of COVID, something we have no control over, it is time for us to let our voices be heard through voting. We all have something we are passionate about that is impacted by the votes we will cast on November 3rd. With some people in power working double, triple time in the name of voter suppression, we have to find a way to lift our voices in other ways. Whether that be through art or protesting or even music, like the main character of October’s Movie of the Month, The Forty Year Old Version (Netflix October 8th) Lift every voice and scream. Let us gather again in a month to speak about this dope movie that follows Radha, a down-on-her-luck NY playwright, who is desperate for a breakthrough before 40. Se reinvents herself as rapper RadhaMUSPrime & she vacillates between the worlds of Hip Hop and theater in order to find her true voice.
